In this letter to Amos A. Phelps, Richard Stewart Renshaw talks about his travel to West and how he ended up in Ohio. He discusses plans for the circular on which the letter is written. (The circular asks for support for missionary works in Jamaica where some post-emancipation work is greatly needed.) He also mentions his experience at the Oberlin Commencement.
