Notes (historical):
Dedicated in September of 1891, the brick Normal School building housed classrooms, the library, the model school, a gymnasium, administrative offices, and an assembly hall that could seat 250 students. In 1894 the building was enlarged by 50 percent with a three-story addition in the rear.
