Holograph, signed.
Margaret H. Landt wishes to engage in something which will be "more active and healthful." Landt remembers Miss Weston [Deborah Weston]'s kindness when she was in Germantown, and asks if she knows anything. Landt pays tribute to "the dear, gentle one who passed so sweetly away" [this is a reference to Mrs. Ashmead], and comments on "Howly" and "Pressy" [Howland Ashmead and Preston Ashmead]. She describes the monuments to Mrs. Ashmead at the graveyard at St. James the Less.
