The beginning part of this letter is missing. In this letter, Isabella Massie asks Miss Weston to mention certain English contributors to the anti-slavery cause in the abolitionist publications. She says that "Uncle Tom's Cabin" is very widely read. She does not think that the book blames the slaveholders enough. She wishes an American woman writer would attack the church for its stance on slavery. Isabella Massie met Mrs. Maria Weston Chapman.
