Edward Morris Davis says that the articles sent are for Maria Weston Chapman and not for the fair. If Maria Weston Chapman is going to France next spring, he will spend $100 apiece for the Boston and Philadelphia fairs. He thanks Maria W. Chapman for the scheme for learning French verbs. Mary Grew has been elected assistant editor of the Pennsylvania Freeman. Edward M. Davis has little courage on the Texas question, but they are getting many signatures to the petition.
