Maria Weston Chapman would have heard from Edward Morris Davis if he had had any intention of "exposing" himself in the Liberty Bell or had "been able to induce mother [Mrs. Lucretia Mott] to add an article to it." Edward M. Davis noticed what Maria W. Chapman said "about that vulgar & unprinciple[d] print the Chronotype." They have had no tidings from William Lloyd Garrison and hence infer that he is growing better. Davis said: We are busy with our convention---which are the best ever held in this region." The fair opens this evening, Dec. 15, 1847, and "promises to be full & attractive.
On bottom part of page two, Edward Morris Davis continues writing this letter on Dec. 15, 1847. He says that a tract will soon be issued as no. 2.
