This letter is concerned with a boy named Martin, who is a former slave. Ellis Gray Loring still thinks it necessary to send Martin on a whaling voyage, and "the sooner he can go the better." He is anxious that Martin should go "with a captain of judicious & humane character." Ellis G. Loring will pay liberally such persons as Caroline Weston may find willing to board and equip the boy.
