Sarah Hilditch emphasizes the wrongness of the Evangelical Alliance in respect to anti-slavery feeling. The enthusiasm with which George Thompson, William Lloyd Garrison, and Frederick Douglass were received has proved that "the Evangelical Alliance is not the British Public." These three were entertained in Sarah Hilditch's little town; the meeting was "the best ever held in our town." Frederick Douglass "has been working wonders." Sarah Hilditch is enthusiastic about William Lloyd Garrison. She praises George Thompson, who "has had to expose some who were his dearest friends." Sarah Hilditch hopes to meet H. C. Wright next week.
