Additional information accompanying item: Boston City Hospital 8 /21/70 Confrontation between blacks and police at construction on site of the new nurses quarters at Alb any and Mass Ave. Boston police and demonstrators scuffle as arrests begin at Boston City Hospital construction site protest. The Black Community Construction Coalition picketed location where building of new nurses' home is underway demanding more jobs for blacks. A truck was blocked from entering and police used force when demonstrators resisted an attempt by 40 officers to open the roadways to traffic. No injuries were reported in the incident but 17 persons were arrested.
