Jeanne Dodge, a resident of Greenfield, MA, was 69 years old at the time of this interview. She was born in Athol, MA and worked as a health educator, massage therapist, HIV/AIDS outreach and education, and as a professor at Greenfield Community College. In this interview, Dodge discusses her experiences of COVID as a cancer patient and stem cell transplant recipient, which left her with a very compromised immune system. She discusses how her activities moved online, including advocating for COVID precautions and meeting with the group Rainbow Elders over zoom. She discusses the ways that cancer and immunosuppression, as well as her long career in public health, have influenced her outlook on life.
